From Holiday to Work - With No Stress
It's never easy getting back into the swing of work after Christmas celebrations, family gatherings, and time off with good friends.
Mr Sheko said you must prepare yourself both mentally and physically to move from holiday to work mode.
To avoid a stressful return to work a little pre-planning can make all the difference on your return from holidays.
Exercise - rejuvenates you and helps clear your mind allowing you to mentally prepare yourself for the challenge of getting back to work.
Relax - rest before returning to work. Holidays can be stressful with the logistics of family gatherings, gifts and big meals.
Reflect - what tasks you were doing just before you went on holiday and if anything was left unfinished?
Clean up - putting away your holiday decorations will help you mentally move on. Clean your house as a cleaner environment helps cultivate peace of mind.
Check your email - if you have access to your work email at home, take 30 minutes and review your inbox.
Set your alarm - at least one day prior to returning to work set your alarm and get up at your 'normal' work time.
Communicate - once back at work, speak with your boss and colleagues to make sure you're focused on the right duties and everyone is on the same page.
With the right return to work plan you'll get be ahead of the game while your competitors are still getting back into work mode.
